Tim Lincecum Gets His Groove Back; Pitches First Career No-Hitter

What a long strange trip it has been for San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum. At one time he appeared like he was set to be the next G.O.A.T. Than he seemed to lose his mojo and became a mere mortal like the rest of the us.

But not Saturday night.

It may have taken him 148 pitches, but the man tossed his first career no-hitter. Oh--and he had 13 strikeouts to boot!

The Giants will be hoping that this is sign of things to come rather than an isolated incident. Lincecum last one back on June 4 losing four of his last six. However, his last outing--while it was ended up being a no-decison--was pretty impressive as well (7 innings, 11 Ks, 6 hits, and 3 earned runs).

Sometimes guys just need one or two games to remember who they were and to be that guy again. Fans will be looking forward to his next start to see if the old Tim is back.
