The Pittsburgh Pirates have been one of the more pleasant surprises this season. The Miami Marlins--well, they've been about what fans expected (sad, but true). In Tuesday night's game between the two at PNC Park the teams got a surprise visitor--a bat.
The Marlins could use a good bat or two at the plate--and I'm sure this one is great--but I'm not sure what good he (or she) will be able to do. Strike zone is pretty small I guess...would be hard to tag out...
Oh--and the Pirates went on to win this one 4-3 to improve to 68-44, which is as many or more games than they won from 2005-10.
