Oakland Athletics outfielder Josh Reddick has not been having the greatest of seasons at the plate. Prior to Friday night's game against the Toronto Blue Jays he was batting just .203 in 276 plate appearances with just five home runs, 37 RBIs, and 34 runs scored.
Not good--but during Friday night's game no one was thinking about it. Friday night Reddick was the man.
Why? Well--it's amazing what hitting three home runs in three consecutive plate appearances can do for your confidence and the perception people have of you.
On the night he was 3-5 with the home runs coming in the third, fifth, and sixth innings. The first two were solo shots, but the last one was a nice three-run blast to put the team up 11-3 (final score was 14-6).
