Houston Texans in Good Shape When it Comes to Quarterbacks

No one player makes the team what it is, but there is one player that is hard to replace when/if he goes down—the quarterback. If he can’t execute the play it does not matter how good the rest of the team is. When the guy that starts with the ball is not up to the task the whole unit suffers.


Just ask fans of the Bears what that was like back in 2011. Arizona Cardinals fans are likely to have strong opinion too having lived without much of a quarterback since the Kurt Warner days.

That hasn’t been much of an issue in Houston. No, when Matt Schaub went down a couple years ago the team actually went on to make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history and even won a playoff game—with the third stringer!

True, the team leaned pretty heavily on the run during that stretch, but T.J. Yates certainly played well enough...
