Houston Astros Sink to a New Low With 0.0 Nielsen Rating

It has not been a good season for the Houston Astros. The once proud franchise has lost more than 100 games yet again and has done little to make fans want to watch them play. They have averaged 19,803 fans a game this season; more than two teams battling for a wild card spot (Cleveland and Tampa Bay).

But on Sunday they suffered an indignity that--well, is kind of  embarrassing-- no one watched the game.

According to the Nielsen ratings the 9-2 loss to the Cleveland Indians Sunday garnered a whopping 0.0 in the ratings.

That's 0.0. Zero. Zilch Nothing. No one. Nada.

To be fair the team is horrible and the Houston Texans were playing the Baltimore Ravens. Although in hindsight some Texans fans might be wishing they had watched the baseball game instead. At least with the Astros the expectations are pretty low.

And the rating is based off a sampling so there could have been someone, somewhere watching. Maybe...

Come on people! The season isn't over yet! If you don't tune in you'll miss gems like the butt slide! While it does make an awesome GIF don't you wish you had seen it live?

No?
