Blake Bortles and the UCF Knights Upset Louisville 38-35

Teddy Bridgewater and the Louisville Cardinals have been flirting with losing for a couple weeks and this time the near misses finally hit home.

After getting out to a 28-7 lead in the third quarter UCF fired back with 24 unanswered points to take a 31-28 lead in the fourth quarter with 8:31 left to play. Bridgewater did what he was expected to do and took the Cards right down the field for what the team hoped would be the go-ahead touchdown, but they left too much time on the clock.

UCF QB Blake Bortles got the ball back with right around three minutes, but he only needed around two and a half of it. With 27 seconds left he threw a two-yard pass to Jeff Godfrey for the go-ahead score.

The Knights have a good team; just not a high profile. With this win it would not be surprising to see them break into the top 25 this week.

As for Louisville they can kiss any chance at a national championship good bye. They have struggled against some so-so teams and now have a loss on their record. To make up for the loss they would need a win or two over some top notch teams, but they don't have any on their schedule.
