It's a Miracle! Royce White Flies On An Airplane!

Fans in Houston wished it would happen. After awhile they got tired of wishing and hoping and began to wonder if it ever will. Eventually they just flat out gave up and were glad when the Houston Rockets got rid of him, but now it has.

Royce White took a ride on an airplane!

Houston took White with the No. 12 pick in the first round last season knowing full well that his anxiety disorder was severe enough that it was extremely difficult for him to fly. The whole relationship was one big disaster; one that both parties were happy to end.

Even after watching the mess that unfolded between White and the Rockets last season the Philadelphia 76ers were willing to give him a try with the expectation that he would do some flying--and now he has.

The team is playing in Charlotte Thursday so Wednesday they took a charter to the home of the Bobcats. While he couldn't bring himself to make the flight to Europe he did get out on this plane:

Should this work out for White and the 76ers he could be a steal for the Philly faithful. During his final season at Iowa State he led his team in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and blocks. So there is skill there. The trick is just getting him to the game
