Notre Dame Defensive End Stephen Tuitt May Not Be Returning After All

Every college hopes to recruit and develop great players. The only problem with that is if they are great enough they end up leaving college early for the NFL. While it is understandable it still sucks for fans.

So when the Fighting Irish Faithful heard that stud defensive end Stephen Tuitt was going to return for his senior season they got excited. However, as it turns out that excitement may have been premature.

The student newspaper, The Observer, published a report stating that Tuitt had said he was going to return to Notre Dame for his final season. His statement was pretty simple. He has another year of eligibility and wants to use it.

When he got wind of the article he was quick to tweet this: Can't believe everything you read. Goodnight.

He must have realized that sentiment would not make people too happy so he deleted the tweet. So is he staying or going? Who knows; he probably doesn't. At this point in the season it is better that he concentrate and focus on the game ahead and not what he may or may not do when it's over.
