Prince Fielder Gets this Flop to Remember till Next Season

If you are going to have to lose at something you typically hope to do so with a little pride and the knowledge that you gave it your best only to fall short in the end. Detroit Tigers slugger Prince Fielder will not have that luxury now that his team has been eliminated from the post season.

Fielder was largely absent from the base path during the series so when he got on in Game 6-- thanks to a walk-- it was a rare sight. After a Victor Martinez hit he found himself over on third base, and that is where the fun starts.

When Jhonny Peralta hit a soft chopper to second base you would have thought that maybe Fielder would stay on the bag since it would be an easy throw home in order to catch him trying to score--which they nearly did since he was about halfway down the base path when Boston second baseman Dustin Pedroia opted to send the ball home.

What transpited from there was the perfect embodiment of Fielder's offensive production during the series-- .162 batting average with just one double and no RBIs.

A flop--and with this GIF likely to be posted anywhere and everywhere online he's probably going to see it a lot.
