Baylor Bears Ready to Prove They Are More Than Just Statistics

Baylor is no longer the door mat of college football. The question now is whether they are true contenders or just a lot of great statistics.

There is a stigma that people in and around Waco would love to shed for good. Ask most people about the Texas town and they will likely say, “Hey—isn’t that where that crazy FBI/ATF standoff occurred a while back?”

What many people don’t realize is that the town has been host to one of the best women’s basketball teams for years, but sadly women’s basketball does not get the respect it deserves. Perhaps after the Baylor football program puts the university athletics department on the map that will all change.

Wait...so even though the team has produced a Heisman trophy winner and gone to three straight bowl games it’s not on the map?
