Houston Texans Cheerleaders Want Some Fries (and a shake) With Their Freestyle Friday!

This week's edition of Freestyle Friday courtesy of the Houston Texans Cheerleaders is a special one for me. No, clear your minds of dirty thoughts people; it's not like that (I could only be so lucky...). No, this one brings me back to the good ole days growing up in small town Texas (Crosby; Ouga Ide forever!), and one of my favorite memories.

It was after a pep rally...

Like a lot of guys in Texas, I grew up playing football. The Friday Night Lights shown bright in our town. We loved our football and as a part of that we loved out pep rallies.

It was after one of these pep rallies that my brother and I drove to the Sonic across the street from the high school. Lots of folks did it, and if you lingered too much in the parking lot you had to wait to get a spot (for those not familiar with Sonic you drive up, park, order, and they bring it out to you).

So this was the place to be at 3 PM on a Friday afternoon. On this particular Friday we got a spot, put in our orders, and started doing what high school kids do. At one point a Trojan commercial (yes, the condoms) came on the radio and my brother cranked up our factory speakers for all they were worth.

At that moment everyone else happened to turn their radios down and the place actually got quiet--so you could hear the loud booming voice pretty throughout the entire parking lot.

It was HILARIOUS!

So how does this relate to the Houston Texans Cheerleaders doing Freestyle Friday? Pretty much the only thing that could have topped that memory would be if this had happened at our Sonic.

And yes. I would like some fries to go with that shake. And a burger.
