LSU Trying to Bring Back Some Chants for the Texas A&M Game--Just Not the Profanity

There is nothing like being in the stands for a major college football game. Maybe its the gravity of the game, the freedom that comes in safety by numbers, alcohol, or the craziness of youth. The atmosphere is just too much fun.

Part of the fun is the insanity that is created by thousands of students engaging in all sorts of chants. LSU is trying to bring back some of them leading up this weekend's game against Texas A&M--minus the profanity.

The chants were discontinued because the profanity didn't make the school look too good. They are not alone with this issue. Earlier this season Ohio State tried to get rid of one of theirs. With arguably the biggest game of the season (next to the Alabama game) coming up LSU wants to get every edge it possibly can.

The more energy the fans can create the better.

I have to wonder though. Do they really think fans will clean them up rather than do what they know and love? I guess we'll find out when we hear (or don't here ) certain words during the broadcast of the game Saturday.
