Tavon Austin Has a Career Day for the St. Louis Rams Against Indianapolis

Anyone that was still wondering why the St. Louis Rams drafted the tiny wide receiver from West Virginia (5' 8" and just 176 pounds; I have thoughts that are bigger than him) should not doubt the call after the performance the diminutive rookie turned in against the Colts.

His hips may lie, but the numbers don't--310 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns!

He got things started off with a bang when he returned a punt 98-yards to put the Rams up 21-0 (he had 172 kick-off/punt return yards).

From Bleacher Report
The Colts proved last week that they can overcome a large deficit, but when it became 28-points after Austin's 57-yard touchdown catch it wasn't looking good.

Just in case Indianapolis thought they had a chance he tacked on this 81-yard touchdown reception early in the second half to stretch the lead to 35-0.

From Bleacher Report
He only had 31 receptions and 207 yards going into the Colts game, but after a performance like this it would not be shocking to see him get a little more work.
