USC Trojans: Who Needs Offense When You Have Special Teams Like This?

The USC Trojans looked like they were down after the first month of the college football season, but in case there was still any doubt Saturday's performance against Cal has put any thoughts of them being out to rest.

The Trojan offense has played well, but it is going to be the special teams that stole the show with three punt returns for a touchdown against Cal: a 75-yard return to give the Trojans a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter; a blocked punt that was returned 14-yards to stretch the lead to 35-14; and finally a 93-yard beauty of a run to give USC a 41-14 lead going into the half.

USC took its foot off the gas in the second half and coasted to a 62-28 win.

Apparently there is something to be said for having yummy desserts at meals and bring in fast food to team meals because every since USC's interim Head Coach Ed Orgeron took over and made a few player-friendly changes the Trojans have been playing some great football.
