Who Wants to Win the Heisman? Northern Illinois QB Jordan Lynch Does!

Last weekend was brutal to the Heisman race. Johnny Manziel is pretty much done. So is Marcus Marriota. Bryce Petty? Forget about it! It's almost as if the NCAA just wants to concede the trophy to Florida State's Jameis Winston--but with sexual assault charges hanging over his head there is a good chance he might be out of it too.

Who wants to win the darn thing?

Northern Illinois quarterback Jordan Lynch answered that question Tuesday night in his team's regular season finale against Western Michigan.

If you just look at his passing stats (5-17, 39 yards, 1 TD) you'd think no way in hell, but that isn't where he got it done. The senior QB broke his own single game rushing record for a quarterback by carrying the ball 28 times for 325 yards and three touchdowns--and he didn't even play in the fourth quarter!

On the season that gives him over 4200 all-purpose yards and 42 total touchdowns. Last season Johnny Manziel had over 5100 yards and 47 touchdowns.

So maybe it might not be enough to win, but it should most certainly get him a seat at the table.
