Bears Wide Receiver Alshon Jeffrey Breaking Out a Year Early?

Typically it takes a couple years for wide receivers to get acclimated to the NFL out of college. The speed of the game is different; the coverage is tighter; the offenses more intricate. It's still football; just at a whole different level from the college game.

So with four games still to play and over 1100 yards to his name has he broke out a year early?

From Bleacher Report
Last season he caught half of the 48 balls that came his way for 367 yards and three touchdowns. The last three weeks he caught 23 balls for 374 yards and two touchdowns. Sounds like he's doing pretty good, right?

Naysayers will be quick to point out that much of that came in last week's 249 yard performance, but Jeffrey has been having big games all season with three 100+ yard games (both Detroit games, the Washington game) and a 200+ yard game against New Orleans.

Fans have to be pretty happy with that; especially since Brandon Marshall is still having a solid season with 990 yards and nine touchdowns.

Going forward there will be one question that fans will want answered: if this isn't his breakout season does that mean he is going to do even better next season?
