Seahawks DB Richard Sherman Will Get Fined for This Cheap Shot

Richard Sherman has not hidden the fact that he and his teammates in the Seattle secondary are not going to just stand by and let anyone catch a ball in their territory. Sherman has gone as far as to talk freely about locking people down and putting a hit on them to discourage them from trying to catch a ball again.

What he may want to do though is make sure that what he does is completely within the scope of the rules--or at least close.

Unlike this hit which is far from legal. The play was away from him and from the way the other guys were slowing down you could even say that it was over or ending.

So there is no possible excuse for making this hit on Saints wide receiver Kenny Stills during Monday night's game with New Orleans.

I'm not  a big fan of fines, but when it comes to stupid and unnecessary stuff like this I say empty out his wallet,, max out his credit card--whatever it takes for Sherman and any other idiots thinking of doing something similar to just play football instead.
