However, when it comes to one such athlete--Texas A&M's own Johnny Manziel--any presence on Twitter is not going to be of his doing.

It's been fun twitter talk to you all in May #DimeCity #StriveForGreatness

Manziel swore off of Twitter last summer for a short time (but not Instagram), and quit it once again around the time the whole autograph scandal was taking over the internet. He got back on in early December, but was definitely much more reserved with what he tweeted.
Why he's doing it this time is a mystery, but NFL teams are likely hoping it's because he's taking the time to seriously prepare for the Draft. He's going to be one of the top five picks in the draft, but a strong showing in the Combine and at A&M's Pro Day could mean the difference between going to Houston, Cleveland, or Jacksonville.
Of course it could have nothing to do with preparation, but instead something more important to teams when it comes to a 21-year old that they are fixing to hand millions of dollars. While he will be spending a lot of time preparing for the Draft all work and no play makes Johnny a dull (and bored) boy.
Teams expect players to have a good time, but can they be mature enough to reign it in when they need to? Can they keep their privates off the internet and pictures of them hitting a bong or 'making it rain?'
Or it could just be he is going to be too busy training and partying to care about tweeting. In the end it just doesn't matter.
