Minnesota Vikings Have Red Flagged Eight Players Because of Dumb Tweets

Social media is awesome. Without it there would not be nearly as many bloggers as there are now, and we would not know what jerkoffs and idiots some of our favorite athletes and celebrities are until they really screw up and their shenanigans make the news.

Thanks to things like Twitter we get to know the good and bad of players like never before--and it might cost some college football players a job in the NFL.

According to Matt Miller from Bleacher Report the Minnesota Vikings have been looking in to the social media activity of some college football players. They have seen enough in some cases to make them want to 'red flag' eight players.

With the way that some guys let it all hang out on social media checking out their activity should be part of due diligence for teams. I'd be surprised if the Vikings are the only ones doing this.

So kids--start watching what you tweet if you want to make it in to the NFL someday. If you don't and let your freak flag fly too much online it might cost you the opportunity of a lifetime.
