Colts Owner Jim Irsay Arrested for DUI and Possession of a Controlled Substance [MUGSHOT]

Fans of the Indianapolis Colts are not going to be surprised at this news. Neither is anyone that has ever followed his Twitter feed, but it has happened. Colts owner Jim Irsay has been arrested for DUI and possession of a controlled substance.

The deed appears to have happened Monday morning around 3AM in Carmel, IN. Bond has been set at $22,500--so pocket change for the Colts owner--and his bond hearing has been set for 1:30 PM Monday afternoon.

No word just yet on what the controlled substance is.

It will be interesting to see how forthcoming he is with details of the incident. For sometime there has been speculation that he is a bit of a party animal and drinker, but last October Irsay stated on Twitter that he doesn't drink and hasn't in 15 years.

Some of the pictures he has posted have made that hard to believe.

Was he lying? Or will his intoxication be due to whatever the controlled substance is? Either way this is not good of course, but it will be interesting to see how he handles the public fallout.
