Connor Shaw to Be Honored at Halftime of the Florida Game But Real Honor Came Over the Weekend

Life has been good for former South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw. He is coming off a successful career as the signal caller of the Gamecocks, led the team to three straight 11 win seasons, and played pretty well for the most part--even when he was sick and injured.

Come half time of Tuesday night's basketball game against No. 1 Florida he is going to be honored for his accomplishments, but the real honor for the young man came over the weekend.

From Bleacher Report

He proposed to his high school sweetheart Molly Smith--and she said yes (congratulations to the happy couple)!

From what I can gather off a Gamecocks forum Shaw had to miss the game earlier this season when the team was honored so he is getting his own special moment in the sun Tuesday night during half time of the Florida game.

South Carolina doesn't have a great team, but they proved they are capable by taking down Kentucky over the weekend. Maybe--just maybe--the team can pull off another upset and take down the No. 1 Gators.

Yeah, its a longshot, but how cool would that be?
