Reds Pitcher Aroldis Chapman Shares Picture of the Staples in His Head [PHOTO]

Earlier this week Cincinnati Reds pitcher Aroldis Chapman was hit in the head with a pitch. To put the scene in to context--the pitch was 99 mph. So yeah, that sucker hit him hard. He has since had surgery that took about 2 1/2 hours so that doctors could put a titanium plate in to stabilize the fractures.

In an effort to show the fans that he is doing aright and on the road to recovery he posted a picture of the staples in his head to Instagram (it's kind of harsh).

With the pic the Cuban-born pitcher included the following message:

Mi gente todo esta bien gracias a dios ya salimos de todo tipo de problema estoy aquí esperando q me den de alta.

Which translates in to:

My people all is well and thank god we left all kinds of problems I’m here waiting I to be discharged.

Word is he could actually return to action in as little as four weeks (doctors estimate 4-6). I don't know if I should be impressed with modern medicine or scared that they have figured out how to turn us in to machines.
