Ref Ted Valentine and Bearcats Coach Mike Cronin Prove Professional Standards Need to be Reestablished in College Hoops [VINE]

This has to be one of the most ridiculous scenes in college basketball this season. Of the people involved in a game the ones that should exercise the most control are the coaches and officials--but that certainly didn't happen here with Cincinnati Bearcats Mike Cronin and referee Ted Valentine.

It's pretty bad when the players have to get involved to keep a coach from doing something stupid.



We are accustomed to coaches losing their cool in games so Cronin's reaction is not really all that uncommon. It's still bad, but not uncommon. However, Valentine needs to get more than just a slap on the rest for stepping to Cronin and giving it right back.

Come on people. How can we expect the players and fans to act right if the coaches and refs can't.
