Steve Smith to Pay Young Fan a Visit That Was Upset the Panthers Let Him Go

The dad that posted a video of his son getting seriously upset after being told that the Carolina Panthers were letting wide receiver Steve Smith go deserves to be slapped. Trying to get a reaction out of your kid like that is just wrong (although I will say his daughter is cute as a button). When this kid becomes a teenager he is going to be just a little angry with Dad when his friends dig up this video.

That being said it appears that young Gavin has someone searching for him; someone that likely wants to cheer him up--the object of his angst, former Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith.

Perhaps Dad figured something like this would eventually reach Smith. If there is one thing that the internet likes besides playful kittens, drunk celebrities, and stupid human tricks it's kids. Sure enough, the video of young Gavin getting upset over the news Smith was cut went viral and now Smith is trying to get in touch with him:

From Smith's Twitter feed it appears that he has been sent Dad's Twitter info, and according to a tweet Smith posted it looks like young Gavin is going to get a visit from his favorite player:

I found Gavin. His dad and I got in contact. Once I'm back in town will hook up the Lil guy...... everyone thank u for ur help
