There is no acceptable way to lose a game. It doesn't matter if you get blown out, if the ref misses a call, or the other team makes a play--losing sucks. However, there is one way that sucks more than others--slipping.
Whether its the ball slipping out of your hands (like it did to Aaron Craft Saturday) or losing the ball when your feet slip on the court--like what happened to James Young Sunday--it just sucks.
Kentucky head coach John Calipari's tweak worked wonders during the first two games of the SEC Tournament, but hit a few roadblocks Sunday against Florida. At the half with the Gators up by ten it was starting to look like it would be another easy win over the Wildcats, but the tweak started to work its magic in the second half.
Kentucky was able to fight their way back in to the game and with the ball in hand and the final seconds ticking away and down by one it appeared that they might win--if James Young was able to finish his drive off with a shot.
Instead he slips, loses the ball, and the final seconds tick away with Kentucky not getting shot off.
Yeah, that sucks.
