Football Fans May Be Forced to Make a Decision on Thanksgiving Day They Don't Want to Make

The NFL has released the schedule of the coming season  causing quite a buzz across the web as football fans everywhere checked out who their favorite team is playing when and talking heads (analysts) everywhere began blogging about their season predictions.

One day stood out among the rest--Thanksgiving. Yes, the league scheduled a great slate of games, but it will also force some fans to make a painful decision.

The day starts with traditional match-ups--the Detroit Lions taking on the Chicago Bears followed by the Dallas Cowboys facing off with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Awesome, awesome games for sure. Fans can't really ask for a much better slate than that to enjoy while they stuff themselves with turkey, mashed potatoes, rolls, corn on the cob, stuffing, pie--I could go on and on.

But the day doesn't end there. There is one more game, and it's with that game that some fans may have an issue.

The Seattle Seahawks will be taking on the San Francisco 49ers. You can't get much better than that when it comes to the primetime finale of a triple header. There is just one problem though.

Texas A&M is also playing LSU; another awesome game. Like the Seahawks/49ers its got the makings of a classic and is must-see football for sure.

If only the two were not broadcast at the same time.

Yeah, you can set your DVR to record one while you watch the other, but in this day and age of 24/7 news what are the odds you can go the length of the game you do watch without hearing anything about the other? Especially if you don't watch it immediately after the other (but that would make for a long night).

It's not going to happen.

So who do you watch?

The good thing is that with a couple months of game prior to Turkey Day we'll know just how good the teams are and how epic each game has a chance of being--than we can make a call.
