Vince Young Will Have a Great Chance to Play if Browns do Sign Him

If you can believe what you hear on the internet it sounds like Vince Young may not need the job with his old college team anytime soon. Rumor has it that the former Longhorn is going to be signed by the Cleveland Browns following the end of his tryout during mini-camp.

The word is being spread by Ian Rapoport:

If that is the case than Young will have a pretty good chance of making the final roster. Word out of Green Bay was pretty positive; he just didn't have enough time to really learn the system and truly earn the spot.

Should he sign with Cleveland he will not only have a chance to make the team, but he could even be the starter when the season begins. Right now the Browns only have Brian Hoyer and Alex Tanney on the roster. Hoyer looked great in the two game he played before getting hurt--but it was only two games.

Tanney--he's the YouTube trick shot kid out of Monmouth.

Cleveland is expected to draft a QB with their first round pick, and if whoever they get struggles in the preseason Young stands to have a great shot to start (assuming he has a good preseason).
