And they can help a great cause at the same time.
From Bleacher Report |
All funds raised go to the Heart of a Horse Foundation to benefit horses suffering from neglect and malnutrition.
So--how pimping are they? An article in Forbes describes them accordingly:
The traditional cups are silver and hand-engraved with a horse scene by an artisan, with each engraving taking two and a half hours, making each cup unique. These fetch $1,000. The Prestige cups are sterling silver cups plated in 24 karat gold plus a diamond studded horseshoe with 43 diamonds, each jeweler selected and set by hand, totaling approximately one carat.... All 75 are hand numbered, come with a sterling silver sipping straw, and will be presented in signature cases made from the same wood as Woodford Reserve barrels.Even the straw is silver!
I must warn you--if you have a grand burning a hole in your pocket and want to bid on one you have to be at the race Saturday to pick it up.
