WATCH: Jose Abreu Tosses Glove and Ball So Pitcher Could Make Play at First

When you sign a guy to a contract in a major professional sports league you would hope that said person would do anything and everything in his power to make his team a winner. So far during his rookie campaign Chicago's Jose Abreu has done that--but he took it to a whole new level Saturday against the Cleveland Indians.

To make an out he tossed his glove and the ball to pitcher Scott Carroll so he could make the play at first.

It seems that the ball got stuck in his glove somehow, but rather than give up on what should be an easy play he made an extraordinary one by taking his glove off and tossing it along with the ball.

Before you ask--yes, it is legal.
