So when you hear the rumor about former Missouri wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham possibly heading to Oklahoma take it for it what it is--a rumor with some crazy implications.

So they have someone to throw. They just need someone to throw to.
However, with Jalen Saunders gone there isn't much proven talent to throw to (outside of Sterling Shepard). Adding Green-Beckham to the mix would give the Sooners a solid one-two punch at wide receiver. If another wide receiver emerges out of the group the Sooners offense becomes down right deadly.
Right now DGB is expected to sit out the coming season and enter the '15 draft. Should he decided to give college a try again he would have to go to a FCS school to play this season or sit out a season, play in '15, and then enter the draft in '16.
Or Oklahoma could get a waiver.
Even without the waiver it would be smart for DGB to play again before entering the draft. While he did have a great season last year for Missouri it was enough to get him on the radar for NFL scouts. Without more to go off of he remains on draft boards, but rather low in priority.
However, should he have another solid season for a good school he can at least solidify himself as a middle round pick if not better.
So far DGB and Oklahoma are saying nothing so this is nothing more than a rumor. The Sooners probably will not say anything until they secure a waiver allowing him to play this season. With DGB's background they are not going to want to admit to any ties until they know he can play for them.
But this is just a rumor; nothing more...for now...
