High School Girl Pitches Batting Practice for the Tampa Bay Rays--and Doesn't Do Half Bad!

Meet Chelsea Baker. She pitches for her high school's baseball team in Plant City, Florida. Apparently she's pretty good at throwing the old knuckleball. She should be since the master of the knuckleball, Joe Niekro, taught her how to throw when she was little.

So--how good is she? After meeting Tampa Bay Ray manager Joe Maddon at an awards banquet she was given the chance to find out.

Before Monday's game against the Pirates she got to throw batting practice for the team. Yeah, she got hit; it's batting practice after all. She also threw some pretty good stuff!

Oh--and she hit Evan Longoria once too!
