Colts Punter Pat McAfee: I Can Kick a 75-Yard Field Goal in Denver. No Question.

The Indianapolis Colts were smart in retaining punter Pat McAfee. Not only is he a popular player, but he's pretty darn good at this job. So good that he thinks if the team should need him to try booting a field goal from deep range he is more than willing to try.

He's not just willing; he's confidant he can do it. Heck--given the opportunity in Denver (Week One) he thinks he can set a new record.

He's not going to beat it by just a yard or two though. No--he's going to shatter it:
"I think we could legitimately go from 75 yards. Not even a question about it," McAfee said. "I think in warmups I'd be able to hit from 80, like full strain. Probably try it a couple of times."
Why not? He's made a 75-yarder before (in Wisconsin):

Of course kicking in a game will be much different than this. McAfee knows that which is probably why he said he'd retire should he get the chance and actually make it:
"You might see me untie my shoes on the field and just walk off: 'See ya.' You know, go out on top."
Just in case he isn't kidding the Colts should probably not give him that shot (but he is kidding--right?).
