Hundreds of Ants Found in Rooms of Italy and Uruguay World Cup Teams

After all sorts of controversy in the news over how well Brazil was going to be prepared for the World Cup it has been great for the games to start and put it all to rest. There is nothing like action on the pitch to help fans and the media forget all the BS and focus on what really matters.

But than things like the ant infestation in the hotel rooms of a couple teams happen....

@FIFAWorldCupTM
Uruguay goalkeeper Fernando Muslera tweeted a picture of his bed sheets with a few hundred 'fans' that he never wanted to meet:

According to Google Translate this is what he said: Good day! Look who woke us up at 2am! Ajaja nothing better than a good anti allergy.

Probably safe to assume it's ant allergy.

His room was not the only one that was hit with hundreds of little unwanted visitors. Some of his other teammates had some issues as well as members of the Italy squad. Hotel workers came and changed the sheets as soon as they were alerted.

I guess the ants were just trying to say 'Welcome to Brazil!' and couldn't wait to see the guys on the pitch.
