San Antonio Spurs Don’t Want to be a Dynasty

Being called a dynasty usually means a team has reached the pinnacle of success in their given sport so being called one is a good thing—or is it?

Right around the start of the post season Phil Jackson got on the bad side of San Antonio Spurs fans by stating their team is not a dynasty. His logic—because San Antonio hasn’t won consecutive championships. 

So—was he right?

Before that can be discussed a definition for dynasty needs to be established. According to Wikipedia a sports dynasty is “a team that dominates their sport or league for an extraordinary length of time.”...
