Kobe Bryant has to be one of if not the most loved NBA player in other countries. In years past we've seen fans go nuts for him in China, England, Germany--pretty wherever the man goes. Being the soccer loving kind of guy that he is it comes as no surprise that he is in Brazil taking in the World Cup.
What might be a surprise to his basketball loving fans back in the U.S. is that he's playing soccer.

What this should tell us is that he is completely healed from the injury issues that knocked him out for the bulk off last season--so this is a good thing. Since he's healthy it really shouldn't surprise us that he is doing it.
Kobe has made it no secret that he loves soccer and that it's actually
his first love:
''It's my favorite sport to watch. I enjoy watching football more than I do basketball actually. I grew up playing football, I grew up in Italy so from the age of 6 to the age of 15, I just played football every single day.''
It's all good Kobe. Do your thing man--just be sure you can do it again come next NBA season too.
