WATCH: Longhorns Shortstop C.J. Hinojosa Hits First Home Run of College World Series in 1-0 Win

With Chad Hollinsworth pitching a gem the Texas Longhorns didn't need much offense in order to get a win over UC Irvine Wednesday night which is good since they didn't get much. What they go was more than enough--the first home run of the college world series!

The lone run of the game came courtesy of shortstop C.J. Hinojosa in the seventh inning--a blast of a home run that gave Texas a 1-0 lead. It was also the first home run of the CWS (dating back to last season; June 21, 2013) and only Hinojosa's second of the season.

Texas advances to the CWS Final Four and will play Vanderbilt on Friday.
