Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones Pokes Fun at Himself After Brain Fart Leads to Run For Oakland A's

From time to time even the best of them can make silly little mistakes. We call them brain farts. We have no excuse for them, they can be pretty embarrassing, but there is nothing we can do about them after they happen but smile.

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones had just such an error on Sunday.

Jones caught a Josh Donaldson line drive for the second out of the third inning, but thought that he was making the final out. So after completing the catch he began to casually jog in making it real easy for Yoenis Cespedes to jog home from third to give the A's a 3-0 lead.

Rather than hide from his brain fart and try to act like it didn't happen he decided to own it. After the game he took to Twitter to poke fun at himself:

Ummm yea there's 3 outs per inning Mr. Jones. At least the man on first didn't advance. But I did feel like tripping myself. But I smiled.
