So--where should he go?

Prior to today, LAL offered Pau Gasol two deals: 2 years, $23 mill and 3 years, $29 mill per league source. He turned down both offers.

Since he has been made the scapegoat for whatever ailed the Lakers the last few seasons it would be surprising to see him go back to LA no matter what they offered (especially since they are not going to be very good next season either).
So where should he go?
At his age (34) he is not likely going to get offers that are too different from what the Lakers offered. Unless someone wants to overpay for him that means he is probably going to go to a team that is going to compete for the championship next year and does not need him to carry the load. You know--a place where he can be more a role player.
He'll probably (if he's smart) choose a team that will allow him to reduce his minutes in order to help extend his career.
Hmmm...does that sound like someone we know....someone like the San Antonio Spurs perhaps?
His decision will likely come down to a few different factors: he wants to win, he wants to be able to play longer, and he doesn't want to get ripped mercilessly whenever the team loses. If those are the three most important considerations San Antonio is the place for him.
That is, as long as money is not a primary factor. Chances are that other teams--less championship ready ones--will be able to offer him more.
Good thing is, much like Chris Bosh, he is not going to force us to wait long:
I'm very close to deciding. Thank you all for your interest and support! #FreeAgency
