Oklahoma QB Trevor Knight Looking Sharp at Manning Passing Academy

Oklahoma had one problem that harassed them through the majority of the season last year. Trevor Knight was named the starter at the start of the season, but was up and down during the regular season which led to Blake Bell getting a lot of playing time as well.

Than came the Sugar Bowl where Knight destroyed one of the toughest defenses in the nation throwing for close to 350 yards and four touchdowns.

That game pretty much locked up the job for Knight going forward. It didn't hurt when Bell made the switch to tight end either--but should the Sooners be putting their eggs in Knight's basket just yet? After all, while he was masterful against Alabama he was kind of erratic during the season. Than again, it was his redshirt freshman season so he could have just needed some time to get up to speed.

So do fans have to wait a few more weeks to find out? They could--or they could listen to what one local journalist said about him while watching him workout at the Manning Passing Academy:
"Yesterday, I was on the side of the field with Trevor Knight from Oklahoma,” Detillier said. “I walked with him for a little while, and I told him, ‘Man, you picked up where you left off in the Sugar Bowl against Alabama.’ He was very impressive throwing the football. Great athlete. Threw the football extremely well.”
Like there was ever any doubt, right Sooner Nation?
