WATCH: Jose Altuve Breaks Houston Astros Record for Hits Prior to All-Star Break [VIDEO]

The Houston Astros are still not very good, but there is reason to believe in a brighter future with some of the young talent on the roster--guys like second baseman Jose Altuve who set a new team record against the Texas Rangers Monday night.

With two hits on the night the all-star has 124 on the season--a new record for hits before the all-star break for Houston (not to mention he's leading the league).

He's not a one trick pony. Altuve also stole his 39th base on the season and his 26th in a row without getting caught.

"It's really good because when you're getting hits that means you're getting on base, when you're getting on base that means you're scoring runs for your team," Altuve said. "I feel really good about it."

So do Houston fans Jose. So do Houston fans.
