New York Jets Rookies Compete in Dizzy-Bat Races at Beginning of Practice [VIDEO]

The NFL is in the business of football, but at the heart of the $9 billion/year business is a game. If there is one thing that every game is supposed to be it's fun. However, when you are battling for a roster spot and unsure if you are going to be on the team tomorrow it can be hard to remember little things like that.

So on Sunday Rex Ryan ran a drill at the beginning of practice to make sure his guys do remember--the dizzy-bat drill.

@nyjets
Yeah, you know the game. It's the one the sober guy at the party loves to get going once enough people are drunk--but it's just as much fun to watch sober people do it too which is pretty much why Ryan had them do it.
"Just trying to get the energy level boosted up," Ryan said (via NJ.com). "Get guys smiling, laughing and feeling good. Now you are ready to work. It’s just like in the classroom: You want to get people to smile; you get more out of them when they are attentive. I thought we would break it up just a little bit and start with that drill."
Can you imagine a bunch of pro football players doing this? Luckily you don't have to because there is video (for a much better clip check out the one they have at NFL.com):
