WATCH: Arizona Cardinals PR Ted Ginn Jr. Learns the Hard Way it's Okay to Call for a Fair Catch

During the preseason when guys are fighting for a spot on the final roster they have to do whatever they can to show their skills off. What sucks is that they don't always get many opportunities to do so making every one that does come there way count.

Ted Ginn Jr. is an okay player, but he is also 29 and working on making his fourth roster in eight seasons.

So it is understandable that he wants to make the most of every punt return opportunity that comes his way. However, as a veteran player he should know when to call for a fair catch. As fans we appreciate the highlight reel hit he allowed the Bengals to lay on him, but that has to hurt.

I can't imagine it helps him make the final roster either. Than again, in spite of getting laid out he did hold on to the ball...
