WATCH: Michael Sam Records First Sack for the St. Louis Rams
A lot of the talk surrounding rookie defensive lineman so far in the preseason has been that no matter how well he plays he may be out of a job anyway. The St. Louis Rams have a lot of quality defensive linemen already and simply will not have to room to carry him unless he makes it impossible for them to cut him.
Well--he may not be making it impossible just yet, but he is going to make it pretty tough for them to let him go. Last week he put some pressure on the QB; this week he recorded his first sack.
Heck, if the Rams think they are going to have to cut him they should try to trade him first. There are plenty of defensive line starved teams that would love to have a guy like this play for them (right Dallas Cowboys?).
