And there is no better example of why fans love/hate these guys than this GIF from Friday's game against the Chicago Bears.
The haters will look at it and say Ricardo Lockette lead with his head and made a dirty play. Those that love the Seahawks will look at it and see not one but two guys playing the game at 100 MPH and laying hits that make them proud to be an American.
Either way the general reaction to the play by many will be exactly what Richard Sherman did:

You see hits just like that in every game from every team. Haters will always be haters.

DeleteThere is nothing wrong with throwing your body at an opposing player. This was nothing more than Lockett laying the wood and the Bears player ducking to try and avoid getting killed.
...do you see Seahawks stepping on players? Punching players? Getting into fights? The Seahawks are no different from any other NFL team....
ReplyDeleteThe Hawks are just an intense, hard-hitting team... reminds me of the intensity of play that the Raiders had in the 80's. My thought is... if you can't stand the heat, GTFO the kitchen!

DeleteLockette did NOT lead with his helmet. If you have decent eyes, you can clearly see he hit him with his shoulder. The boys just hit hard and fast! Why can't the NFL and it's fan just appreciate good team hen they see on? Seems like they can't stand the fact that the Seahawks won the Super Bowl instead of some east coast team or one small market favorites. Get over it, and just enjoy the season they had last year, and let's see what they do this year. They are the champs.....you just have to respect that. Your team may be next. When that happens, get ready for the crap talk that'll be coming.

They play football like it was meant to be played. Not this PSSY crap they are trying to make the game because of all of the whiners. They act like they are in the game and have some kind of clue. These guys no perfectly well what they are getting themselves into anything else is just a weak excuse. It amazes me that we have people that even make comments about this. We have become way to sensitive in this country. Let people live. Are you going to whine about the guy who fly's in his fly suit through a mountain range at 135mph for a thrill. one day he might not make it and then what? it is the chance and risk he is taking which is his choice JUST LIKE FOOTBALL. I think all of the whiners and haters are just a bunch of sissy punks that need to stay off of sites like this. It's either that or they Punked your team and you don't like it. Again just another whiny punk. Get a life and watch real men play football and don't be such a beaver.
