Canadian College Football Player Shows Why Goal Posts Should Be in the Back of the End Zone [GIF]

Have you ever wondered why the goal post on a football field are in the back of the end zone and not the front? Why not put them right up on or near the line? Kickers might find it a little easier--right? They'd certainly be able to try from further away.

True as that may be there is a very good reason why goal posts are where they are, and University of Regina receiver Mitch Thompson found out the hard way in a recent game against the U of Manitoba.

It makes for a great highlight for the end of season blooper reel, but poor Mitch probably had one heck of a headache the next day (or at least the next hour).
