Geno Smith's Days as Starting QB for the New York Jets May Be Done (but probably not)

In college Geno Smith was a pretty good quarterback. At times he has appeared to be a good one in the NFL as well. Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills was not one of the good times. Geno was pulled from the game in the first quarter after completing more passes to the Bills than his own team (2-8 for five yards and three interceptions).

The question now is whether he will be done for good and the team handed over to Michael Vick.

If history is any indication Rex Ryan is going to stick with Geno. He gave Mark Sanchez more chances to get it together than anyone thought he deserved so there is no reason to think he will not do the same here.

Ryan is loyal to a fault. While a commendable quality it will eventually catch up to him. He gets paid to make the tough decisions though.

Time to step up and make it Rex.
