What the Heck is Carolina Panthers LB Thomas Davis Doing? [GIF]

There are often moments in a game when you wonder what in the world a player is thinking. Maybe he blew a coverage or whiffed on a block or maybe he dropped a pass while staring at a cheerleader. Too often it is because players are doing something to celebrate a big play and only they know what.

But then you have plays like the one Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis 'made.'

The ball bounced a good five yards in front of him, but yet he returns it as if he caught it on the run and it was a legit play.

Dude. We all saw it bounce off the turf.

It will be interesting to hear what he has to say about this play after the game. My only guess was he was hoping none of the refs saw the pass being thrown or the bounce off the turf. Oh--and since Seattle would have challenged the play if the refs did call it a touchdown he was hoping all the cameras in the stadium miraculously had turned off at that moment too.
