Purdue to Honor Cancer Survivors and Victims With Special Helmets Saturday [PHOTO]

Alternate helmets are all the rage in college football now. Some teams do not have to wear a helmet more than three times if they don't want to. For the most part they are usually pretty cool, but sometimes you do have to wonder what the heck they were thinking.

Purdue will be donning new alternate helmets for their next game, but they are not going to be your run of the mill alternate lids. They are going to honor cancer survivors and victims with them.

I have to hand it to you Purdue. These are pretty awesome, and I love what you are trying to do with them.
