Wickline is suing the Cowboys in order to prove that he is indeed calling the plays for the Longhorns.

What the ****, right?
As crazy as it sounds confirming whether or not he does will cost someone over a half million dollars.
Wickline is suing Oklahoma State because he says they have yet to fully release him from his contract even though he has been part of Charlie Strong's staff since last January.
Oklahoma State is suing him and claiming that he owes them $593,478 because he is not calling the plays at Texas. According to his contract with the Cowboys (which ran through 2016) he would owe them what was left on his contract should he leave for another school unless he was named the offensive coordinator with play calling duties.
This is where it gets fun.
Local media in Austin refer to quarterbacks coach Shawn Watson as the play-caller; a claim that no one has corrected if it is indeed wrong.
Since March OSU officials have been after Wickline to pay the remaining balance of his contract since he just made a lateral move. They say he is lying about being the offensive coordinator and has play-calling duties.
Like I said--kind of crazy, right?
One would think that all it would take to put this to rest would be for Wickline to produce his Longhorns contract and prove what his job title is, but we are talking about logic, college football, and the legal system here.
Three things that just don't go together.
