WATCH: West Virginia QB Clint Trickett Nearly Becomes the Headless Quarterback

Expectations were low for West Virginia heading in to the 2014 season, but thanks to the play of quarterback Clint Trickett and company the Mountaineers now have their eyes set firmly on the Big 12 championship. Oklahoma State pretty much fell out of the hunt when they lost their quarterback, and at one point in Saturday's game it appeared as if they might take out Trickett.

Or at the least they were going to make him the Headless Quarterback.

The Headless Horseman seems to do alright without a head so maybe Trickett would have been fine without his. Defensive backs would certainly have a hard time figuring out where he was throwing.

As it turns out his head remained attached to his head after the play so it looks like we will not see the Headless Quarterback in action after all.
